Guus Luijters in Leningrad
On September 12, 1977, Guus Luijters, a Dutch nabokovian, made his first trip to Leningrad in order to see the places where Nabokov spent his childhood and adolescence. As a result of this trip a detailed and exciting
article was published in the Haagse Post Magazine. In this article, he described not only the impressions the Nabokov sights left on him, but also the difficulties which he, as a foreign tourist, encountered especially when the Soviet authorities found a Nabokov book in his luggage...

The Nabokov Museum sincerely congratulates Guus Luijters on the 30th anniversary of his first visit to Leningrad and proudly announces that the article is accessible online on our web-site.
